Martha Wilson is the founder of Franklin Furnace, an internationally acclaimed museum and archive of living art, performance and artist books begun in 1976. A regular performer throughout the ’70s, Wilson has continued to be a key figure in the US performance art community,  producing and organizing performances and exhibitions through Franklin Furnace and in collaboration with various festivals and institutions.
