Tasman Richardson is a new media artist specializing in video, computer animation, audio, and electronic kinetic sculpture. He is presently working toward forming a collective of like-minded new media artists under the title JAWA. He has collaborated in the past to perform audio artworks under the name O HUGE VAULT OF VASELINE and has curated on a few occasions the on-line poetic terrorist gallery POX. Raising questions about memory and the human conditions associated with attention span, focus and hypnosis, Tasman’s final objective is to engage audiences aggressively on a conscious level while numbing them with subliminal programming, as an investigation of information entropy and the relationship between sensory perception and the bastardization of stimulus as it is received by the subject.
