SALCEDO, Camila

Camila Salcedo is a Venezuelan-Canadian artist based out of Halifax, NS, in their last year of studies at NSCAD University. They are interested in multidisciplinary art with a primary focus on performance art, video, textiles, and curation. Their work is centred around identity, migration, queerness, activism, and community organizing through a feminist lens. They have exhibited their work at various galleries, festivals and venues across Canada including: RiAP (Québec), Art in the Open (PEI), Nocturne (Halifax), articule (Montrèal), the Gladstone Hotel (Toronto), the Anna Leonowens Gallery (Halifax), the Khyber Centre for the Arts (Halifax), and abroad at the Gallery of the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa.
