MORITA Aki

Born in Sapporo City, Aki Morita completed Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyoto University, majoring in Weed Science. Although humans are able to alive when they create food, clothing and shelter by themselves, those bare necessities of life are only provided through the economic system as a result of society division of labor. “Ability in life” is “adaptation to the society and work for money”, so many Japanese have forgotten how to get their food and so on in the ecosystem. I think cultivation for oneself and his or her family is the first step to get back those skill and it’s important to manage the yard as vegetation space including crops and vegetables. It will cause high biodiversity which makes low input and circular cultivation possible.

森田 亜貴: 札幌市生まれ。京都大学大学院農学研究科修了。専攻は雑草学。本来、ヒトは衣食住が満たされていれば最低限の暮らしができるはずですが、社会の分業化が進み、経済のしくみが発展するにつれ、自らの手で衣食住をなんとかするという行為をしにくい世の中になってしまいました。「生きる力」は「社会に適応し、働いてお金を得ること」であり、多くの日本人は自然と向き合いながら衣食住を整える術をすでに忘れてしまっています。その術を取り戻す第一歩として、家庭菜園の普及に努め、その家庭菜園を野菜が採れる植生空間と捉えて管理することで生物多様性に富んだ畑の環境をつくりだし、低投入・循環型の栽培を可能にする方法を追求しています。
