Christine A. Mathieson is an interdisciplinary artist whose performance art work was born our of a “passion for theatre” and a “lust for language”. In 1996, Mathieson founded Blue Tiger Theatre, fueled by a desire to explore both the written and spoken work and how it relates to performance and the human experience. Apart from numerous credits in the theatre community, Mathieson recently performed Index 1036 at the Deleon White Gallery’s live @ 4:55 series and the Forest City Gallery’s 12th Annual Spring Performance Art Festival in London. Index 1036 examined the fetishized myth surrounding the mysterious circumstances of the death of Tom Thomson.
