I won’t come is a performance art piece that explores the intersection of addiction, trauma, and self-reflection through a multi-sensory experience. Inspired by the post queer night-life partying time of 2 am – 6 am, the performance merges elements of burlesque with a ritualistic examination of emotional and physical states.

Tyler J Sloane (they/them) is an Anishinaabe (Oji-cree), Chinese, White mixed race Non-binary artist. Their work emphasizes marginalized voices with an intrinsic intersectional lens and artistic framework. As a trans racial adoptee growing up in a predominantly white community, their desire to represent the beauty of experiencing racialization and queerness to translate it through stories and artistry is inherent. Noticing the invisibilization of identities and bodies that are so bountiful, their artistic practice focuses on the saturation, vibrancy, intimacy, and playfulness of unique identities and selfhood. Encouraging flirtation, challenge, and activation, their work brings intersectional experiences through stories that evoke provocation, celebration, and fluidity.
