The night concierge at the Alphaville Inn is enchanted by the performance art crew that has invaded. He is also computer savvy, saving me several times from the usual system crashes endemic to the makeshift patch-and-fix servers of big hotels in these pioneering years of internet access. “OK your system is down, unplug the Ethernet. Restart your computer. Make sure the (complimentary) wi-fi airport is off. Then plug back in the Ethernet. If that doesn’t work, I will have to reboot the system”. (It worked). This guy is smart and curious. He wanted to know more about 7a*11d and how he can participate so I gave him directions and a programme. He works tomorrow nite 11pm to 7am. Hopefully he will be brave enough to show up. Welcome him.
