And all good things must come to an end…

After a performance-, talk-, and event-filled five days, the packed schedule of performance-art-activity has come to a close. We want to thank all of our International, Canadian, and local artists for an amazing week of performances and dialogue. Thanks as well as for the presence and contributions from this year’s visiting curators and writers!

Thank you to our volunteers who dedicated themselves to help make the festival happen, as well as our incredible audience who came out in record numbers to see the action each morning, afternoon and night.

We know (first hand) how hard it is to end the experience so abruptly, so get yourself a hot mug of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate and decompress with some of the critical writing and nightly reviews of the festival’s performances from our blog writers, Sylvie Ferré, Randy Gledhill, and Christine Korte. Henry Chan (our official festival photographer) has been with you in the audience, busily documenting the festival performances, which are updated to the blog section alongside the texts. The blog texts and photos are a beautiful way to revisit the artists and their performances if you’re starting to experience withdrawal already (or it can be a way for you to catch a peak of what you missed if you weren’t able to make it to the festival).

Toronto will wait another two years until the next 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art.

Until then, xo!, and we’ll keep you posted right here on this website!
